Erick Santander, who was convicted of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old female on June 5, 2015, has moved to an apartment on Wells Street, right across from Peekskill High School.

According to information released Tuesday by the State of New York, Santander—whose primary residence is now 122 Wells St., Apartment A—was sentenced to 6 years probation Jan. 14 after being convicted of having sexual intercourse with the underage girl, whom he knew. At the time, Santander was 18 and no force was used.

In a situation such as this, it is standard operating procedure for the Peekskill Police Department to contact the Peekskill City School District and inform them of the sex offender’s address, a district spokesperson told The Peekskill Post.

    1. This is ridiculous i dont know this kid but 2 years apart no forced used. Give me some real criminals not these kids who obviously had consesual sex. Go out there and find the real criminals

    2. I do not think I would ‘feel’ safe if the State of New York were not bound and determined to ruin the life I (and there is no other word for it) of a young man (‘boy’ is almost appropriate) for engaging in conduct that is 100% age appropriate and has been going on since the beginning of time.

Way to turn a possible future tax payer (who might be contributing to my Social Security) into a social pariah with a great chance of being a drain on the public for the rest of his life. Not to mention the funds spent on this cracker-jack supervision.

This is JUST great… so sorry, Mr. Santander, err, Erick.

    3. This right here makes no damn sense. They are just putting people on that list for minor crimes. Both were teenagers and she consented, how the hell can this be. Put those on the list that rape, and molest… I know people on the list because they got caught looking at breasts… unbelievable and they need to amend the laws regarding this issue because there are a lot of people listed that shouldn’t be there just because they made a stupid mistake but didn’t rape or molest. You can get in the list by exposing yourself in public…does that make a person a sexual predator????

      • … and if you put people on the list that rape and molest…. because? Understand, that is not acceptable, but after prison, parole and probation. What exactly does the list do? For Mr. Santander? For anyone? Seriously. What?

    4. This is the stupidest argumentative article i’ve ever seen. In many states including Connecticut (which is 10 miles east of this town) 16 is the age of consent, and you damn well know that s 16 year old girl knows what she is doing “no force was used” those words in this case say it all.

    5. I knew this kid since he was a freshmen and I was a senior, & never in my mind to think that this would happen to him, he’s like 5’3 common guys look at him does he really look like a criminal ?? Hell NO ! ! This is why Peekskill has the worst police department ever. Good thing I’ve mood from there

    6. This is ridiculous! Labeled a sex offender! I would love to know who the girl is and the intentions behind messing up a kids life!

    7. This article leaves out the correct information. First the girl was drunk and willing to have sexual inter course with anybody. He was at the wrong place and at the wrong time. After being found out about the girl tried to return to her home where she had snucken out, she began to play the victim. Although many cases such as these have a victim this is not one.
