Editor’s Note: The following information was provided by The Field Library, located at 4 Nelson Ave. in Peekskill.

The Field Library Children’s Room will be hosting an author visit with Nick Bruel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25. Bruel is the author and illustrator of the New York Times bestseller “Boing!” and the “Bad Kitty” books!

Bruel will talk about where he gets his crazy ideas and what it takes to turn those ideas into great books. “Bad Kitty” fans—and wannabe writers and artists—are invited to meet this always entertaining author and illustrator.

The library will have books to purchase and, at the end of the program, Bruel will be available for autographs.

All school-age children and adults are welcome. Refreshments to follow the program.

For more information about the event, call the Children’s Room in The Field Library at 914-737-0847.

Nick Bruel is a freelance illustrator and cartoonist who collects PEZ dispensers and grows tomatoes in his free time. He lives in Tarrytown with his wife, Carina, and their lovely cat, Esmerelda.
